Who: Chad
Hartman
What: Although former Gopher Jack Brewer
made a late push with his Fox 9 sports news comment suggesting
Laurence Maroney was the best running back in the draft (could
he be continuing to promote this program in hopes of a future
coaching gig?), the nod goes to a media member not typically
known for timid radio interviews.
KFAN's Chad Hartman had a timely guest (Fran Foley), asked
an appropriate first question (regarding discrepancies in
his biography/resume), but then punted.
Mr. Foley deflected Hartman's question and Chad failed to
follow up with another query that may have elicited more information.
Bottom Line: Radio listeners were hoping
for some enlightenment regarding the Foley bio controversy
but they were left disappointed. Nobody expects Mike Wallace,
Ed Bradley, or even Dan Barreiro...but should we get Ray Guy?
P. S. This weeks choice was validated after Mark Rosen (who
was a guest shortly after the Foley interview and no stranger
to lobbing fluff questions) complimented Hartman, "I
thought you did a nice job asking him about it"...case
closed.
