What: Delay...Deny...Deflect

That was the method employed by Mike Max early in the week on his self-produced "The Sports Show" late Sunday night. A day after the Gopher football team was dominated by their first legitimate non-conference opponent in a decade, Max waited until the closing moments of the show to bring up the game. When he finally did it took Sid Hartman (of all people) to bring up the pink elephant in the room (a poor defense). Max refused to deal with the real issues concerning this program and changed the subject by criticizing Illinois coach Ron Zook.

Bottom Line: Nothing is so pathetic as those who attempt to obfuscate in the face of clear evidence.
