Who: Greg Coleman
What: Thanks to the many web site visitors that contributed takes from last week, we present you some real classics:
Charley "Shooter" Walters wrote that a few fans were chanting "Hire Mason".
Mark Rosen suggested Flip Saunders would be a "great recruiter" if hired as the Gopher men's basketball coach. He also reflexively said "It depends on what vantage point" when Paul Allen asked him, "How bad was it?" referring to the Gopher loss to Winona State. (Wouldn't a normal response be a simple "very bad" or something similar?)
Sid Hartman apologized for the Winona State exhibition loss stating it was "not unusual" suggesting the Warriors would beat many other Big Ten teams.
Rod Simons chalked up the 49er loss to "learning the Childress offense".
Dark Star kissed up to the Vikings guard Steve Hutchison by describing him as the best player in the NFL (wonder if Brad Johnson agrees after the heat the Packers put on him?)
Joe Sensor predicted Brad Childress would win more games than Bud Grant and called him "a star".
While asking Vikings head coach Brad Childress some post game softballs, sideline analyst Greg Coleman brought up a delay-of-game penalty that miffed him and ended his query with "I don't buy it"
Bottom Line: Did Mr. Coleman see any of those referees on the "grassy knoll"?
